Texture Assignment 

In the lecture class Madam Ling ask us to explore the texture and group in works . 

While in tutorial class Madam Ling asked us to create the texture in Illustrator , She said we can do in group or individual and we choose work in group because its more easier. Here the result of texture using illustrator

TEXTURE AND SPACE 

In texture we already studied in VRC . So it can help a lot to know the type of texture . There's four type of texture like abstract, simulated , invented and actual . I will show the example for each type of texture . Firstly Simulated Texture . Simulated Texture is based on the paint, and its application, or the addition of materials such as ribbon, metal, wood, lace, leather and sand. The concept of 'painterliness' also has bearing on texture. The texture stimulates two different senses

Abstract Texture can be to be a really good resource even though at first sight they don’t look like much but in the hands of a skilled designer they can be really useful when working on a design project.

 Invented Texture-A creative way of adding alternate materials to create an interesting texture. Invented texture typically appears in abstract works, as they are entirely non-objective.

Actual Texture - This is a combination of how painting looks and how it feels to the touch.

Printing

On the next week during lecture class Madam Ling showed us the type of printing . There's five type of Printingw which is Offset lithography, flexography , Gravure , Photogravure and laser printers. Each one of them have their advantage and disadvantages . 

 For Offset printing its the commanly used commercial printing process for the bulk of dekstop publishing on paper . Offset Frequently used for printing on plastic ,foil ,acelate film,brown paper and other material used in packaging.

On the other hand , Flexography is also known as flexographic printing or flexo. Flexography is a form of printing process which utilizes a flexible relief plate. It is essentially a modern version of letterpress which can be used for printing on almost any type of substrate, including plastic, metallic films, cellophane, and paper. It is widely used for printing on the non-porous substrates required for various types of food packaging (it is also well suited for printing large areas of solid colour).

Laser printing attract people to use it because the speed is better then flexography . This printer is usually used for business . Colour lasers can be found at service bureaus and printers and are often used to produce high-resolution colour digital proofs. Adobe postsript capabilities found in many laser printers .

gravure printing is usually used for labels and packaging , competing against flexography .

Photogravure is commanly used in printing for fine arts .

InDesign

On the next lecture , Madam Ling introduced us to the Id or called Adobe InDesign. 

Logo InDesign

In InDesign we can create page layout for poster, magazine ,flyers , newspapers . Its such a wonderful Software for designer . The example is like this 

Many things we can do through InDesign . We can divided the work in colums so its looks more tidy .She also told us about Dekstop Publishing . Dekstop Publishing is a term coined after the development of a spesific type of software , Its about using the software to combine and rearrange text and images and creating digital files .

Actually I dont really understand at all . But when Madam Ling show the example and I remember of VRC . In VRC we called it Ambiguity Shape . Its like two object in one drawing . Here the example

But when we look to the white we see a vases

So,as usual Madam Ling gave task to us to draw like the drawing that she showed to us . We split into group for discussion .

Discussion is started and lead by Zaim

After ten minutes we work hard to give an idea to Zaim and he will write on the paper . He draw through the idea that given by us . So here the result from us 

Our First Assingment

Mural

So, its time to do an assingment . Our first assignment is doing sketch for a mural . My group theme is disability . Here my sketch for disability .

Madam Ling asked me to reduce the complicity of lines during our consultation. So , propose with my second sketch and she accept it . The message that I want to tell from my sketch is all people can success. Madam Ling asked us to create it using Illustrator .We must choose the wall in Faculty of Creative Multimedia building . I choose under the FCM Cafe . So , here my work for first assingment

Color Mode

For the next lecture , Madam Ling tell us the difference of color mode by using a video . There's two type of color mode which are RGB and CYMK .

After she give a lecture she gave task to us to create the color mode . We split into groups . She gave a task about half an hour I think . She said we must done on that time .

We create many color to create more creative color mode.
